MOTHER AND CHILD HEALTH PROGRAM
Many women along with their children are unable to access healthcare services. Women and children facing emergencies cannot reach higher-level facilities because of poor transportation options, communication and referrals systems. State-run primary health care centers, maternity homes, and tertiary hospitals often experience capacity constraints. Most families have limited information and understanding of practices that enhance the wellbeing of mothers and newborns.
The goal is to improve the health of mothers and their newborns by availing and utilizing key health services, enabling 4000 Ante Natal Mothers, 25,000 neo-natal mothers, 120,000 (0 – 5 year) children, resultantly promoting equitable and universal access.
